Shadowsin is a modern rock band from Kansas City, Mo. The band was formed in 2014 by singer Laura Bowen with guitarist Robert Harrington III, bassist Carlos Garcia and drummer Mike Krueger. In 2016 guitarist Robert Harrington III left the group to be proceeded by guitarist Kyle Potter. In 2018 Carlos Garcia also left the group and Chris Grindstaff was added on bass. Matt Richards entered the band in the fall of 2018.
Individually and collectively Shadowsin are veterans of the Midwest music scene with members formerly in standout bands the likes of Solus, Hectic, Brave Fellow, Between Floors, and Such is Life. Finding themselves in need of a new and exciting musical collaboration the members decided to get right down to business and record some highly anticipated and strong new material with Los Angeles based record producer Marc Jordan. Jordan has worked with a multitude of rock legends including Slash and The Cult.
In August 2015 Shadowsin released their first EP “Chasing Ghosts” produced and recorded by Dusty Boles (producer/guitarist/song writer of Via Vanity) at Square One Audio in Denver, CO.
Laura Roach delivers sultry and passionate, yet dominating lead vocals on the new material. Their brutally large and textured guitar tones by Matt Richards, a healthy dose of de-tuned solid low end by Chris Grindstaff and well crafted drum arrangements from Mike Krueger lend exceptional support to the already stand out vocal performances from Laura.
The band members have been dominating the local music since early 2005 having won multiple highly acclaimed music awards. Laura won “Female Vocalist of Year 2014 and 2016” in the Project Backstage Midwest Music Awards. Band members have shared national stages with Red, Five Finger Death Punch, Kill Switch and Gage, Orgy,
Trapt, Toto, Parabelle, Chimaira, Trivium, Machina, Hatebreed, In Flames, Sick Puppies, Snapcase, NonPoint and Otep among others.
