Meet Nicole Lewis
Originally from northeastern Oregon and Washington, Nicole Lewis is a gifted songwriter and performer that gracefully walks a creative tightrope between country, Americana, pop and even jazz elements with a style that is both impactful and resonant.
And then there’s that voice. “Now, Nicole’s voice is so otherworldly to me,” says John Cirillo, an award-winning Nashville songwriter and co-writer with Nicole. “It has such power … but also vulnerability and sweetness.”
Having recently relocated to Nashville to further develop her career, Nicole had already left a similar impression on fans in the Northwest. She walked, or drove, away with a grand prize Toyota Camry as the winner of “Gimme the MIKE” — a televised music competition along the lines of the now popular American Idol, airing on KHQ, the NBC affiliate in Spokane, Washington.
This notoriety led to the successful delivery of her first self-produced projects: first the Life with Gravity EP, followed by My Kind of Paradise, her first album project to be recorded in Nashville. Touring opportunities would present themselves as opportunities to open for acts including country recording artists Sara Evans and the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band. Nicole has also been invited to perform alongside alternative rocker Ben Folds, founder of the band Ben Folds Five and past judge of the nationally broadcast singing competition on NBC called The Sing-Off.
Now permanently based in Nashville, Nicole is excited to be adding the finishing touches to a number of new projects. Her first 2020 single, “Words,” broke into the iTunes Top 100 on its first day of release, and the upcoming music video showcases her always charming and quietly riveting performance.
She is also proud to have recently partnered with Inspire Kindness and co-writer John Cirillo for the soon-to-be-released single, “Keep It Kind,” which she and Cirillo wrote together in support of Inspire Kindness and their message of celebrating one other through simple acts of kindness.
“I’ve worked so hard on this new music,” says Nicole, “and I’m so thrilled to be getting it into the world. I’ve got music I’m really proud of, some great people behind me that believe in me, and it feels really good. I’m so ready for this year.”
To be sure, so are we.
